RPD-Burglary Advisory-

Riverside Police Burglary Advisory

The Village has experienced several residential burglaries over the last week. The latest incident took place on Wednesday, June 8th between 8:15 a.m. and 10:40 a.m. on the 300 block of Addison Road. In this case, the offender broke through the glass rear door of the home and stole jewelry and electronic equipment. When officers canvassed the area to speak to the neighbors, one neighbor reported seeing a suspicious vehicle in the area about 8:00 a.m. The car was described as a white sedan, possibly an Impala with a male white or male Hispanic driver. The vehicle also had blacked out windows. There is no other description of the vehicle and/or driver.

We also had two residential burglaries on the 300 block of Lionel Road during the daytime hours over the past 10 days. In both of these instances, the points of entry were rear doors which were forced open. No suspect information is available on the Lionel Road burglaries.

Riverside Police have recovered some physical evidence in these cases. Residential patrols including bicycle patrols have been increased as well.

Any resident who sees any suspicious activity including suspicious vehicles or people, please report them to the police department immediately and officers will investigate promptly.

This advisory is being sent out to keep our residents up to date on current activity taking place within the Village of Riverside, thereby, ensuring that you have the latest information to assist you in your daily activities.
