Detectives Investigate Homicide in South Ceres
Ceres CA – On 06-08-16 at approximately 1:57 p.m., deputies responded to the 2500 Block of Lynell Ave in Ceres for a person who had been stabbed. When deputies arrived they found 48 year-old Francisco Padilla of Modesto with a life-threatening injury and he was transported to the emergency room. When Padilla arrived to the hospital he was pronounced deceased.
Deputies on scene detained 53 year-old James Sandoval of Modesto during their initial investigation into the incident. Homicide detectives responded and late Wednesday afternoon Sandoval was identified as the suspect in their investigation. Sandoval was arrested and booked for murder. Detectives are not releasing any further details regarding their investigation.
