Bank Robbery at PNC Bank

EAST LANSING, Mich. — The East Lansing Police Department (ELPD) is currently investigating a bank robbery that took place today, June 7 at approximately 2 p.m. at the PNC Bank located at 1561 W. Lake Lansing Road.
    
An unknown male suspect entered the bank, walked up to a teller and demanded money. A gun was indicated, but not seen. The suspect is described as being approximately 5’ to 5’5” tall with short braids. He was wearing a grey hoodie and jeans at the time of the robbery.

The suspect exited the bank and got into the passenger seat of a late 90’s or early 2000’s blue car; believed to be a Toyota. A short time after the robbery, ELPD detectives located a sum of money on Harrison Road, just north of Saginaw Street. The money is believed to be related to the robbery.

No suspects are in custody at this time. ELPD is continuing to investigate this case. Anyone with information is asked to call ELPD’s non-emergency phone number: (517) 351-4220.
