The Norton Shores Police Department is asking for help in identifying a suspect and vehicle from an armed robbery which occurred at the First Merit Bank, 917 W Norton, on May 23. The offender entered the bank implying he had a gun and then fled walking west bound on Norton with an undisclosed amount of cash. The suspect was described as a white male with tan or olive skin tone, wearing a dark gray colored hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans, approximately 5”10”, 200 lbs with a goatee beard.

Newly released information:

The offender is captured on video running from the bank to his vehicle which was parked west of the bank. Vehicle experts have narrowed the vehicle body style as: 1998-2000 GMC Envoy, 1995-2005 Chevy, S-10 Blazer, 1995-2005 GMC Jimmy, or 1996-2001 Olds Bravada.
