This morning the police department took two burglary reports in the Alpine Trails Subdivision. A construction trailer was burglarized on Benham Drive, and a work utility vehicle was burglarized on Bardswell Drive. Several tools were stolen. The Illinois State Police Crime Scene Unit was called for processing. It is uncertain exactly when the burglaries occurred however, it is believed they occurred overnight. Anyone who may have seen anything suspicious is asked to contact the police department. Anyone who sees anything suspicious is asked to call 9-1-1 to report the activity, so our officers can quickly investigate.
