SUBJECT OF RELEASE: Death Investigation
DATE AND TIME: Approximately 4:00 PM on May 23, 2016.
LOCATION: 3000 block of West County Farm Road, Sidney Township.

Montcalm County Sheriff’s Office responded to the 3000 block of West County Farm Road in Sidney Township to the report of a dead body lying in the ditch alongside the road.
Investigators at the scene learned that individuals living on West County Farm Road found a pair of shoes in their yard. Upon further inspection the homeowners’ saw something lying in the roadside ditch nearby and as they approached realized it was a person.
The subject, a 46 year old Greenville man, was found deceased. It was reported the man frequently walked the roadsides along County Farm Road. There were no signs of injury to the man and no foul play is expected. The decedent was transported to Sparrow Hospital in Lansing where an autopsy has been performed. The completion of the autopsy report is pending toxicology results.
The Montcalm County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by Montcalm County Emergency Medical Services.
The case remains under investigation.
