The Department of Homeland Security in conjunction with the Grosse Pointe Schools is planning on landing a Blackhawk helicopter this afternoon at Messner field at approximately 1 PM. Highly trained military personnel will demonstrate their abilities and equipment to students and members of the community who wish to view the exercise. The event is tentatively scheduled at this time and notification will be made if changes or cancellation becomes necessary.
