Jessica Heeringa Abduction investigation
The Norton Shores Police Department has been working with investigators from Federal, State, County and City law enforcement agencies to determine whether Jeffrey Willis was connected to the disappearance of Jessica Heeringa. Investigators have been working around the clock and have now upgraded Willis as a person of interest in this case. Investigators are interviewing known associates of Willis trying to determine the connections to Jessica.
The Norton Shores Police is asking that reporters refrain from following task force members and patrol officers while conducting their investigations. Patrol officers have encountered reporter’s filming non related police investigations. This situation can be extremely dangerous for the police officers and the reporters. We are asking the media and interested parties to be patient while the task force members follow the evidence to determine whether Willis is involved in the Jessica Heeringa case.
As we have stated in a previous press release we will update the media and families of the victim when we have enough evidence to believe Willis is responsible for the disappearance of Jessica Heeringa.
