Tip of the Week: Securing Your Garage
Many of us use our garages to store high value items as well as our vehicles. Many of us also use our garages as an extension of our front yard when our kids play or as a work shop. During the day, if you are going to keep your garage door open, assure that someone is always present and keeping an eye on things. Be alert to vehicles or pedestrians who may be passing slowly and looking into your garage. Whenever your garage is unoccupied, assure that your door is closed and locked. As an extra level of protection, assure that your car is locked, bicycles are secured, and the door from the garage to your home is secured.
