*Update* #LASD Homicide Detectives Investigate Shooting Death of a Man, 18400 Blk Desidia St, Rowland Heights

Los Angeles County Sheriff's Homicide detectives are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the shooting death of a male adult that occurred on Thursday, May 19, 2016, in the 18400 Block of Desidia Street, Rowland Heights.

Detectives have learned that at approximately 11:41 p.m., Walnut/Diamond Bar Station deputies responded to a “gunshot victim” call.  When they arrived, they were directed to the alley of the location where they discovered the victim had been shot.  The victim was treated by paramedics but was subsequently pronounced dead at the scene.

Witnesses said that the victim and two acquaintances were inside the garage of the location when two, male Hispanics in their early 20’s confronted them.  During the confrontation, one suspect produced a handgun and started firing at all three individuals, striking the victim at least once in the upper torso.

After the shooting, the two suspects fled east in the alley and out of view.

The other two victims were not injured.

It is unknown if the incident is gang related.

The investigation is ongoing and there is no additional information available at this time.
