On May 14, 2016 the UMTPD took several reports of thefts in the Green Hills/ Kaybrook development.
1) A vehicle was reported stolen from the 1700 block of Lotus Drive. The vehicle, which was unlocked and had the keys inside, was believed to have been stolen between 11 pm on Friday 5/13 and 8 am on Saturday May 14. The vehicle was later located in the City of Allentown on Sunday, May 15.
2) A radio controlled car was stolen from an open garage between 9 pm on Friday 5/13 and noon on Saturday, May 14. This also occurred in the 1700 block of Lotus Drive, with close proximity to the first theft reported.
3) A theft was reported from an unlocked vehicle in the 5000 block of Heather Lane. According to the victim, cash was stolen from a purse that was inside the vehicle. It is believed that this theft occurred during the same time frame as the other thefts in the area.
4) A theft from vehicle was reported from another vehicle in the 5000 block of Heather Lane. A computer and cash were removed from this vehicle.
Residents are reminded to remove valuables from the inside of vehicles and to be sure to always lock your vehicle, especially during the overnight hours.
