HCSO: Quick Reactions Net Two House Burglars.
(HARRIS COUNTY, TX – Harris County Sheriff’s Office Safe Home Task Force investigators have arrested and charged two me with burglary of a habitation in northwest Harris County.
On Wednesday, May 11, 2016 at 12:35 PM, an in progress call was received for a burglary of a resident located in the 9400 block of Capshaw Court.
A neighbor heard the sound of broken glass, looked out his window and saw two males now identified as Jairo Perea-Saa (DOB 08/25/76) and Carlos Valencia (DOB 10/24/71), entering his neighbor’s residence by a window.
The neighbor immediately called 911 and provided the information to dispatchers.
Pera-Saa and Valencia were attempting to leave the home with the owner’s property, when the neighbor and another resident confronted the defendants.
HCSO Patrol District 5 deputies and K9 units arrived within minutes and set a perimeter around the home.
The two men attempted to evade deputies, but were both immediately caught and taken into custody without incident.
The homeowner’s property was recovered and returned.
Both men have been charged with burglary of a habitation, and Safe Home investigators are examining any other home burglaries in the area for any link to the defendants.
“The alert neighbors and quick response of patrol deputies worked together to capture the defendants,” said SGT T. Bohannon of the Safe Home Task Force. “This is a great example of law enforcement and the community working together to keep Harris County safe.”
