Larry King "Talks it Out" with Sheriff Jim McDonnell and the LASD on KMA 628,The Sheriff's Department PODCAST Channel

On KMA 628's special segment “This Week with Larry King”, Larry King digs deep into the issues that people are talking out when it comes to public safety and the role of public trust in law enforcement.   He holds nothing back when asking about the nation’s largest Sheriff’s Department and its state of readiness in the modern age of home grown terrorism and other challenges.

Larry King is the guest host on the PodCastOne network show (KMA 628) with five shows honoring law enforcement as our society’s protectors.  As National Police Week approaches, the Department prepares for the 2016 Memorial Torch Relay Run, beginning on Friday, May 13th and the Los Angeles County Peace Officers’ Memorial Ceremony on May 18th to pay tribute and remembrance to all those who have made the ultimate sacrifice in the protection of our communities.  The Police Unity Tour and National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial are also coming into focus in the coming days.  Larry King helps to highlight all facets of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department (LASD) and the many challenges deputies face while policing large, complex and diverse populations in Los Angeles County communities.  Larry King has conducted more than 30,000 interviews during his daily radio and television shows.  The shows have been seen and heard by millions around the world.  His 25-year run as host of Larry King Live was the longest tenure of any broadcaster as host of the same program in the same time slot.

“It is important during this month to remind the public that law enforcement leaves their families every day to protect ours,” said entrepreneur Norm Pattiz, owner of PodCastOne and executive producer and host of KMA 628.  “There is also a lack of understanding about policing in general, how the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department handles some of the most compelling and at times, controversial, challenges.  Larry King offered to ask the tough questions and try to get deeper into these issues.”
