Help the ECPD nab a package thief
The El Cerrito Police Department is asking for your help identifying a mail theft suspect.
On May 2, 2016, an ECPD patrol officer responded to a residence on Richmond Street on a report of a package theft. The victim reported at 1026 hours, an unidentified suspect arrived at their home in a white GMC pick-up truck. The suspect placed an empty decoy box on the victim's porch and removed a package belonging to the victim which was delivered earlier in the morning. The entire theft was captured on a video recording system which was installed by the homeowners.
The suspect is described as a female, approximately 5’2” – 5’5”, with a medium build. The suspect was wearing sunglasses, a green jacket with white stripes and the number “55” on the back, a black shirt, and green pajama pants. The ECPD is asking anyone with information, particularly those who can identify the suspect, to contact Officer Ware at [email protected] or 510-215-4414 x24.
