Police Blotter April 15th to April 17th

April 15th

Auto Burglary 2700 Del Monte Ave:
At 0749 hours, an officer responded to the report of an auto burglary. In between 1600 hours and 2251 hours, an unidentified suspect smashed a vehicle window and stole a subject’s wallet. There was another auto burglary down the street.

Auto Burglary 2200 Carquinez Ave:
At 0818 hours, an officer responded to the report of an auto burglary. An unidentified suspect smashed a front window of a vehicle in between 1915 hours and 0815 hours.

Warrant – 6000 block El Dorado St:
At 2112 hours, an officer conducted a traffic stop and arrested a 35 year old man from Richmond on an Alameda County warrant. He was booked at ECPD and released on a citation.

Possess Controlled Substance – Stockton Ave / Balra Dr:
At 2322 hours, an officer conducted a traffic stop and arrested a 37 year old female from Newark for possession of methamphetamines. She was booked at ECPD and released on a citation.

DUI – San Pablo Ave / Potrero Ave:
At 0031 hours, an officer conducted a traffic stop and arrested a 35 year old male El Cerrito resident for DUI. He was booked at ECPD and released on a citation.

Public Intoxication – Central Ave / Richmond St:
At 0230 hours, an officer contacted a 55 year old male from El Cerrito after citizens called about him yelling at no one in the street and causing a disturbance. The man was found to be heavily intoxicated and unable to care for himself. He was transported directly to county jail. 

Shooting at uninhabited building – Wells Fargo, 9800 San Pablo Ave:
At 0412 hours, officers responded to a shots fired call near the El Cerrito Plaza. Multiple callers reported hearing 3-5 shots either in the plaza or the blocks surrounding the plaza. Albany also received several calls. At approximately 0505 hours, two bullet holes were located in the south side of Wells Fargo. Indications are the shots came from south and east of the bank.

April 16th
DUI – Elm St / Key Blvd:
At 0151 hours, an officer conducted a traffic stop and arrested a 25 year old man from El Cerrito for DUI. He was booked at ECPD and released on his signed promise to appear.

Assault with a Deadly Weapon – 7400 block Stockton Ave:
At 0354 hours, officers responded to a 911 disconnect. It was determined the 59 year old male attacked one of his roommates with a wooden chair. The man was arrested, booked at ECPD, and transported to Martinez Detention Facility.

April 17th

Theft - 10060 San Pablo Ave:
At 1547 hours, an officer responded to the report of a theft. The store employee’s confronted the suspect after she fled and got into a car in the parking lot. They were able to recover the property from her. The suspect, a 30 year old Richmond woman and the driver of the vehicle, a 39 year old Richmond parolee fled the parking lot. A responding officer located the subjects and the woman was placed under citizen’s arrest. She was also on probation and booked into the county jail. The driver was cited for driving on a suspended licenses and released at the scene. His vehicle was impounded for 30 days.

DUI – San Pablo Ave / Cutting Blvd:
At 0309 hours, an officer observed a vehicle in the turn pocket and the driver passed out. He investigated and arrested the 31 year old male driver from Richmond for DUI. He was booked at the ECPD and released on a citation.
