April 12th

Driving Under the Influence- Central Avenue @Carlson Boulevard
At 1010 hours, an officer located a stalled vehicle in the roadway and noticed the two left tires were damaged. During the investigation, the officer determined the 27 year old male driver was under the influence. The male was booked at the El Cerrito Police Department and transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.

Warrant Arrest – Cutting Blvd/San Pablo Ave
At 2001 hours, an officer conducted a traffic enforcement stop and arrested a 55 year old male from El Sobrante for an outstanding misdemeanor warrant out of Los Angeles County. The male was cited and released.

Possession of Controlled Substance and Drug paraphernalia – San Pablo Ave/Barrett Ave
At 0100 hours, an officer conducted a traffic enforcement stop and arrested a 56 year old male from Richmond for possession of .3 grams of methamphetamine. The subject was cited and released.

April 13th

Stolen Vehicle-5500 Block of Ludwig Avenue
An officer reported an unknown suspect stole the victim’s Honda Civic. The theft occurred in between 4/11@1300-4/13@0900 hours.

Warrant Arrest-San Pablo Avenue @Potrero Avenue
At 1138 hours, an officer conducted a traffic stop and arrested the driver, a 48 year old male from Hercules for an active Santa Clara County warrant. The male was booked at the El Cerrito Police Department and released on a citation.

April 14th

Theft Arrest – Safeway 11450 San Pablo Avenue
At 1725 hours, Safeway reported a theft that occurred. Loss prevention had witnessed and detained the suspect. An officer accepted the citizen’s arrest of a 26 year old male from Oakland. The subject was cited and released.

Theft Arrest - CVS 670 El Cerrito Plaza-
At 2146 hours, CVS reported a theft that just occurred and an employee followed the suspect until ECPD officers arrived. The suspect, a 52 year old male out of San Francisco, was contacted and identified as the theft suspect. An officer accepted the citizen’s arrest of the subject and he was transported to ECPD for booking. The subject was cited and released.

Warrant Arrest – 1600 block of Liberty Street-
At 2336 hours, ECPD officers were dispatched to a report of 2 unknown men looking into a vehicle with flashlights in the carport of a residence. Officers contacted the two men and determined the men were legitimately working at the residence for the property owner and the vehicle in question belonged to one of the workers. A warrant check was conducted and one of the workers, a 44 year old male out of Richmond, had an outstanding local warrant for DUI. He was transported to MDF.
