Green Bay Police investigate stabbing on the city's west side

On Sunday May 1st at 12:06 pm Green Bay Police officers were dispatched to a report of a stabbing that had occurred near the area of N. Norwood Ave. / Kellogg St. Officers located a male walking in this area with multiple stab wounds. Green Bay Fire / Rescue responded and transported the victim to a local hospital. Through victim interviews and a canvass of the area, officers learned that the stabbing had taken place outside an address in the 800 block of Elmore St. Officers eventually entered a residence where they believed the suspect was hiding and were able to take a male into custody without any injury to the suspect or officers. The suspect is a 19 year old Green Bay resident and is currently being held on outstanding felony warrants. The victim is a 21 year old male resident of Green Bay. His injuries are non-life threatening. The case is still under investigation at this time. Any further information will be released by our department via Nixle.
