The El Cerrito Police Department wishes to take this opportunity to remind everyone that distracted driving diminishes perception and reaction times. Please use a hands-free device or Bluetooth when driving a vehicle and using your cellular phone.

What is distracted driving? Any activity that diverts a driver’s attention from driving, or endangers the driver, passenger, and bystanders. Distracted driving can include texting, talking on the phone, drinking or eating while driving, constantly adjusting the radio, putting on makeup, and much more. Please be careful out there.
