On Saturday, April 23, 2016, approximately 9:56 AM, Corcoran Police Officers responded to Denton and Bell Avenues regarding an attempted kidnapping. The victim stated she was walking south on Denton Avenue when she was approached by a Hispanic male adult driving a white Toyota vehicle. The Hispanic male adult asked for directions to Perry Avenue. After the victim directed the Hispanic male adult to Perry Avenue, she started to walk away. The Hispanic male adult reached out of the window and grabbed her by the back pack and pulled her towards the driver side door. The victim was able to pull herself free and fled the scene. The victim stated the Hispanic male adult had dark complexion, approximately 50 years old, wearing a blue baseball hat and had a mustache. The victim stated the Hispanic male adult spoke to her in Spanish then spoke in broken English when asking for directions. The Hispanic male adult was driving a white Toyota vehicle and drove away north bound. The victim stated the incident occurred at approximately 9:00 AM. Corcoran Police Department arrived in the area and searched for anyone matching the description but were unable to locate anyone.
