Sheriff's Investigation Leads to Arrest for Narcotic Sales in Ventura.

Narrative: During the month of April 2016, while conducting directed enforcement near Ventura Avenue in Ventura, the Sheriff’s Gang Unit observed several hand to hand narcotics transactions in the 40 block of West Ramona Street. With the assistance from Ventura Police Department Investigators, Sheriff’s Gang Unit detectives identified Adolfo Gonzalez as the individual responsible for distributing cocaine from his residence. Subsequently a search warrant was obtained for Adolfo Gonzalez’ residence and served on April 15th.

During the search, 196 grams of cocaine, 1173 grams (2.53 pounds) of marijuana, 15 mature marijuana plants, a .45 caliber semi-automatic handgun and ammunition, $4,300.00 in U.S. currency and evidence of a Butane Honey Oil (BHO) laboratory were seized. Gonzalez was arrested for violations of Health and Safety Code 11351 - Possession for sales of cocaine, 11358 - Cultivating Marijuana, 11379.6(a) - Manufacturing concentrated cannabis, Penal Code sections 29800 - Prohibited person in possession of a firearm, PC 27545 - Unlawful firearm transfer and 30305 - Prohibited person in possession of ammunition. Gonzalez was booked at the Pre-Trial Detention Facility and his bail was set at $250,000.

Butane Honey Oil laboratories are extremely dangerous with a propensity for large explosions. BHO labs have resulted in serious injuries and death along with substantial property damage not just in Ventura County but all over California. If you suspect someone is engaged in a BHO lab immediately contact law enforcement to report the incident.
