Ventura County Sheriff requests public’s assistance in identifying bike theft suspect.

Narrative: On 04/12/2016, between the hours of 6:00 am-7:00 am, an unknown suspect stole a bicycle. The bicycle was locked to a secure object at the rear of a restaurant located in the 900 block of East Ojai Avenue. This establishment is equipped with a video surveillance system which captured the suspect stealing the bicycle. The video surveillance footage shows the suspect approaching the locked bicycle and cutting the lock. The suspect then is seen riding away on the victim’s bicycle.

The Ventura County Sheriff’s Office is requesting the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect. The Ventura County Sheriff’s Office would like to thank members of the public for their on-going support and due diligence in providing information to assist our agency in solving crimes.
