Advisory

Dogs Poisoned in Chula Vista

Chula Vista Police are aware of two separate dog poisonings near the 1600 block of Calle De La Flor. The two separate incidents that happened about a week apart resulted in the death of 3 dogs belonging to two owners.

The first incident happened on April 13, 2016. The second incident happened a few days later. It appears to be a random act as the dogs were not generating complaints or known to disturb neighbors. The suspect or suspects apparently placed a pesticide or other type of poison in hotdogs and tossed them in the victim’s yard.

The Chula Vista Police Department is asking anyone with information on these crimes or may be aware of other related animal deaths please call the Chula Vista Crimes of Violence Unit at 619 691-5202, the non-emergency number at 619 691-5151, or to remain anonymous call 422-Tips or visit the Chula Vista Police Departments HelpUsSolveACrime website, or contact Crimestoppers.
