Jewelry Store Burglary

The Arlington Police Department responded to a commercial burglary investigation on Thursday, March 31, 2016. The offense occurred in the 100 block of S. Watson Road at a local jewelry store. The location is equipped with several video surveillance cameras and captured the offense. The investigation revealed that a lone suspect entered the business on Wednesday March 30, 2016 around 11 p.m. It appears the suspect climbed onto the roof of the business and made entry through the air conditioning unit and ceiling air duct. Once inside the location, the suspect took a large amount of custom-made jewelry. Many of the pieces of jewelry are easily recognizable due to their unique design. The estimated value of the items is several thousands of dollars.

The suspect is described as a white or Hispanic male, approximately 5’05”-5’09” tall, thin build, and was last seen wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt. Detectives believe the suspect drove a white Ford Ranger pickup, possibly a 2005 or earlier model. Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective T. Taylor at 817-459-5807. Tipsters can also remain anonymous by contacting Tarrant County Crime Stoppers at 817-469-TIPS.
