On Tuesday, April 12, 2016 at approximately 11:00pm, a Hope Mills Police Officer was traveling on Legion Road when a white 2012 Honda Civic, traveling in the lane next to him passed alongside his patrol vehicle. As the vehicle passed, the Officer recognized the vehicle as a stolen vehicle whose occupants were responsible for a string of larcenies that were committed in Fayetteville earlier in the evening. After confirming that the vehicle was in fact the vehicle wanted by Fayetteville PD, the Officer activated his blue lights and siren and attempted to stop the vehicle. At that time, the driver of the vehicle, later identified as Audrey Jo Cicci, 31, accelerated away from the Officer and the Officer initiated a pursuit of the vehicle. The pursuit terminated when Cicci lost control and crashed the vehicle near the intersection of Camden Road and Crystal Springs Drive. Cicci is currently being held in the Cumberland County Detention Center under a $26,200.00 bond for the following charges:

1 count of Misdemeanor Resist, Delay and Obstruct a Law Enforcement Officer
1 count of Misdemeanor Driving While License Revoked
1 count of Misdemeanor Careless and Reckless Driving
1 count of Misdemeanor Speeding 105mph in a 35mph Zone
