Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department Missing Person's Unit investigators would like to thank the public for helping us to locate Mr. Vein within hours of putting out the request. 

Members of the public, in the Los Angeles area, called law enforcement stating there was a man matching Mr. Vein's description in the area. A short time later, the gentleman was identified as Mr. Vein. He will be reunited with his family shortly.

We greatly appreciate the public and media's help in locating him so quickly.

ORIGINAL PRESS RELEASE IS AS FOLLOWS:

Detectives from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department are seeking the public’s assistance in locating a missing person.

The missing person, Howard Bruce Vein, was last seen leaving the Marina Del Rey area, at 8:00 a.m., on Wednesday, March 30, 2016. He left driving a silver, 2007 Saturn Aura XE, with a California license plate 5XNC749. He has not been heard from since.

Mr. Vein is described as a male White, 78-years-old, 5’09, 145lbs, grey hair, blue eyes and unknown clothing description.

His family is very concerned and is also asking for the communities help.
