Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Homicide detectives continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the shooting death of a man that occurred on Monday, April 11, 2016, at approximately 4:54 PM.

Detectives have learned that the suspect, a 34 year-old male Hispanic, and the victim, a 29 year-old male Hispanic, got into a disagreement at the suspect’s residence in the 4600 block of East Avenue G, Lancaster. During the argument, the suspect shot the victim with an assault rifle. 

The suspect was detained and arrested at the residence by responding deputies.  The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.  

The murder weapon, an AK-47 assault rifle, was recovered at the location.
