A new procedure is in place for kindling fires once a permit is issued. See instructions on Fire Dept. web page.

Washington Fire Warden Allan Dube announces a new process for kindling a permitted fire in the Town of Washington. Effective immediately, before kindling any type of fire, to include campfires, chimneas and fire pits, the permit holder must call 603-495-3030 to get fire daily updates to determine if burning is allowed.

All fires are still required to be permitted by the Warden or one of the Deputies.

To contact a Deputy Warden to get a permit issued, please call the Dispatch Center at 603-495-3233 or refer to the website at http://www.washingtonnh.org/Pages/WashingtonNH_Fire/burnpermits.

Any questions can be directed to Warden Dube at 495-0055 or by email at [email protected].
