On 4/11/16 MDOT will close the NB ramps at the Pontaluna/US-31 Interchange and Pontaluna Rd between US-31 and Harvey St for next 4 weeks. 
The City wishes to inform you that staring next Monday, April 11th, the second stage of construction will begin at the US-31 and Pontaluna Road interchange. Beginning at 7am the Pontaluna Road exit and entrance ramps on US-31 northbound will be closed as well and the section of Pontaluna Road between US-31 and Harvey Street.
These closures will be in place for approximately 4 weeks to facilitate road and ramp reconstruction.
Access to local businesses will be maintained at all times during construction.
US-31 northbound traffic looking to exit at Pontaluna Road is detoured utilizing the Sternberg Interchange. Local traffic on Pontaluna Road is detoured utilizing Grand Haven Road, Sternberg Road, and Harvey Street. The southbound ramps will remain open and Pontaluna Road west of US-31 will remain open and accessible during this stage.
For the duration of the project the Pontaluna Road Bridge is closed for bridge rehabilitation work.
US-31 will have shoulder closures and off-peak lane closures.
