Reference: Armed Robbery Seaway Liquor

The Norton Shores Police Department is investigating an armed robbery which occurred at Seaway Liquor, 770 W Summit, on March 23, 2015 at approximately 11:25 pm. The suspect entered the store displaying a black handgun demanding money from the cash register. The suspect spoke with a calm voice and was described as an adult black male wearing a dark colored hooded sweatshirt under a black coat. The suspect was also wearing a baseball cap, black gloves, blue jeans, and dark colored footwear.

The suspect ordered the 39 yr old male employee to give him cash (undisclosed amount) out of the register before fleeing northbound on Sheffield to a parked car. The witness could only describe the vehicle as a passenger car nothing further.

The Norton Shores Police Department will provide more information as it is obtained. Detectives will be working the robbery to determine if it is related to other recent robberies in the area.
