The public is invited to gather at the Memorial site for Deputy Carl Koontz located at the Howard County Sheriff's Department today at 11:00 am. Employees of the Howard County Sheriff's Department and members of other police agencies will come together to observe a moment of silence at 11:10 am, 24 hours from when Deputy Carl Koonts died from his wounds.
If you are not able to join us, the family of Deputy Carl Koontz has asked people to observe a moment of silence at 11:10 a.m.
