Arrest Made of Two Males for Residential Burglary


Monterey Park, Calif. – March 19, 2016 – On March 19, 2016 at approximately 1:21 p.m., a residential burglary occurred on the 1000 block of Hillvale Dr. in the City of Monterey Park. One suspect entered the back yard and gained entry into the home by smashing a rear sliding window while a second suspect waited in a parked vehicle in front of the home. The suspect was startled when the home alarm system sounded in the home. The suspect exited the yard and entered the vehicle and fled the location prior to the police arriving. A vehicle description was provided to patrol units and a search of the vehicle was initialed. Shortly after the burglary an officer located the vehicle and the two suspects in the area of Ramona Ave. and Garvey Ave. A traffic stop was initiated and an investigation was conducted. After the investigation was concluded both suspects in the vehicle were arrested for residential burglary.

The suspects were identified as:

Christopher Molina, 23, of Alhambra
Trayvon Watson, 21, of Los Angeles


Both suspects were booked for suspicion of 459 PC/Residential Burglary and are being held on $50,000.00 bail. Additionally Molina is on active parole and is being held on a parole hold.
