The Newport Beach Police Department has received numerous reports of natural gas odors on the Peninsula. The Newport Beach Fire Department has confirmed that these odors are not originating from anywhere in the City, but appear to be coming from an unspecified ocean/offshore area.
The odors present no threat to public safety.
