During a canvass for possible witnesses, Los Altos Police Officers were able to obtain video surveillance footage that showed a suspect exit a vehicle and approach the victim’s residence. All three suspects are residents of San Francisco.

An alert was sent to surrounding law enforcement agencies and acting quickly, the San Francisco Police Department was able to locate and detain each of the three suspects for Los Altos Detectives. Stolen property that included jewelry and a firearm taken in the Los Altos burglary were located by San Francisco Police on scene. Additional stolen property was recovered by Los Altos Detectives at a San Francisco pawn shop. At the time of arrest, suspect Huff was on parole for assault with a deadly weapon. Suspect Mandigo was on felony probation for possession of an assault weapon and suspect Peterson was on felony probation for possession of a controlled substance for sales. All three suspects were booked into the Santa Clara County Main Jail.

The Los Altos Police Department is grateful for the quick action and assistance provided by the San Francisco Police Department as well as for the diligence of the Santa Clara County District Attorney’s Office and their commitment to prosecuting criminals who come to Santa Clara County to commit crimes.
