Miller Place / Rocky Point St. Patrick’s Day Parade

The annual Miller Place/ Rocky Point St. Patrick’s Day Parade will be held on Sunday, March, 13, 2016 at 1 p.m.  Spectators are asked to remain off the main travel portion of 25A during the parade.

 

Both uniformed and plainclothes officers will be working to help ensure participants and parade spectators have an enjoyable day free of disturbances. Officers will monitor crowd activity and will observe for violations of the law, including a Brookhaven Town ordinance that prohibits possession of open containers of alcohol. Violation of this ordinance could result in a $250 fine or up to 15 days in jail.

 

Parking will be prohibited along the parade route, which is on Route 25A from Miller Place Road, Miller Place, to 150 feet east of Broadway Avenue in Rocky Point.  That portion of Route 25A will be closed to vehicular traffic from 12 p.m. to approximately 4:00 p.m.  All traffic will be detoured to an alternate route during these hours and it is requested that spectators remain off of the main travel portion of the roadway during the parade.
