On Tuesday, March 8, 2016 at 1939 hours Carson Station deputies responded to a call reporting a family disturbance / violent mentally disturbed person on a roof at the 1100 block of 215 Place in the City of Carson.  When deputies arrived they located a man standing on a second story roof top grasping onto the live electrical wires.  The deputies along with the Los Angeles County Fire Department quickly established a safety plan, contained the area and had the power disabled.

After initial negotiations failed, the Crisis Negotiation Team (C.N.T.) was requested and responded to the scene.  Deputies from the C.N.T. established a dialogue with the man. After a four hour standoff deputies were able to talk the man into successfully surrendering.
