Deputies arrest a man for domestic violence and burglary after he broke into a woman's home in Lenwood

LOCATION: 34000 block of Birch Road Lenwood
SUSPECT(S): Dwight Brown, age 19, a resident of Apple Valley
VICTIM(S): Confidential
SUMMARY: On March 5, 2016, at approximately 10:30 p.m., a female called 911 to report a male suspect had just broken into her home and assaulted her. The caller stated she lost consciousness during the assault and needed medical attention. Barstow Station Deputy Shawn Torno arrived within 4 minutes and the victim was transported via ambulance to Barstow Hospital for head and facial trauma.
Through investigation. the suspect was identified as Dwight Brown. Deputy Torno determined Brown forced his way into the victim’s bedroom via a window and assaulted her with repeated punches to the face and head leaving her unconscious.
Deputy Torno located Brown later that evening and he was subsequently arrested, transported and booked into the Barstow Jail for Corporal Injuries to a Spouse and Burglary, with his bail set at $50,000.00.
