The McHenry County Sheriff’s Office has been made aware of a yellow flyer being distributed in some areas of Marengo Township.
The Sheriff’s Office has not received calls for “gunfire” occurring in this community like the flyer refers to. As always, we encourage residents to be aware of criminal activity, to report suspicious activity, and to contact the police when you need our assistance. We also encourage residents to lock their doors and windows to their homes and vehicles to help deter crime. Use of lighting in and around your house is also helpful.
