UNIT:          LASD Homicide Bureau, Lieutenant Jauch

Sheriff’s Homicide Detectives are responding to Leo Cabrillo State Park, 35000 Pacific Coast Highway, Malibu, to investigate the death of a female inmate who died from an injury she sustained on February 25, 2016, while working on a fire crew.

The victim was transported to a local hospital and died today, February 26, 2016, at approximately 9:00 AM.

There is no further information at this time.
