Almond Blossom Parade Route Road Closures & Staging Area Info

Almond Blossom Parade Route Road Closures & Staging Area Info The Ripon Almond Blossom Parade will be held on Saturday, February 27th at 1pm. In order to help alleviate traffic congestion on the morning of the Almond Blossom Parade, the police department is providing advanced notice of road closures.

The parade staging area will be closed to through-traffic starting at 7:00 am, to allow the safe assemblage of parade contestants. The parade route will be closed at 11:45 am, to allow the safe clearing of the route and access to the route by parade attendees.

This year the police department will be keeping three major traffic intersections open longer than usual prior to the start of the parade to allow for better traffic flow in the area and access to varying events around town.

The intersections of Acacia Ave. @ W. Main St., and S. Acacia Ave. @ W. Fourth St. will remain open for north and southbound traffic until a few minutes before the parade starts. The intersection of Second St. @ Vera Ave. will also remain open for east and westbound traffic until the parade begins. Please refer to the attached map for a visual reference.

Ripon Police Department personnel will be out in force, assisting the public, and enforcing traffic laws in order to keep the motoring public safe.

Any questions regarding the road closures can be asked by contacting the Ripon Police Department at 209-599-2102.

If you have questions pertaining to the parade or carnival please contact the Ripon Chamber of Commerce at 209-599-7519.
