Barstow - Felon in Possession of Ammunition

INCIDENT: Felon in Possession of Ammunition
LOCATION: 45000 block of Silver Valley Rd, Newberry Springs
SUSPECT(S): Rickey Castro, age 34, a resident of Barstow
SUMMARY: On February 24, 2016, deputies from the Barstow Sheriff Station and Specialized Enforcement Division served a search warrant at the 45000 block of Silver Valley Road in Newberry Springs, regarding suspected narcotic and weapon involvement. The search resulted in the seizure of various types of ammunition, drug paraphernalia, and several marijuana plants. The resident, Rickey Castro, was arrested for felon in possession of ammunition and child endangerment and booked at the Barstow Jail. Castro's bail was set at $100,000.
