Deputies arrest Marcus Johnson of Barstow for rape 
DATE/TIME: February 21, 2016/ 6:53 a.m.
INCIDENT: Rape suspect arrested.
LOCATION: 34000 block of I St, Barstow
SUSPECT: Marcus Johnson, age 25 of Barstow
VICTIM: Confidential
SUMMARY:
On February 21, 2016, deputies of the Barstow Sheriff’s Station received a 911 call. The reporting party said a female victim was at her door asking her to call the police. The female victim told the reporting party she had been raped. Deputy Halterman, responded and initiated an investigation. Detectives Stokes and Slawson responded to assist. The investigation led depuites to a residence on I Street.
Through additional follow up Marcus Johnson was identified as the alleged rape suspect. Several search warrants were drafted reference evidence collection, one of which was served at Johnson’s residence. After a thorough investigation Johnson was arrested on suspected rape charges and was booked at the Barstow Jail for PC261(A)(1) with a bail set at $250,000
