SUBJECT: **Update** Angels Camp PD Sobriety/Driver License Checkpoint

The Angels Camp Police Department conducted a joint Sobriety/Driver License checkpoint on Saturday, February 13, 2016. The checkpoint was in the 100 block of S. Main Street in the City of Angels Camp, between the hours of 6:30 p.m. and 2:00 a.m..
Five hundred forty five (545) vehicles were screened during this time. Three citations were issued for driving without a valid license. No DUI arrests were made at the checkpoint.
Funding for the sobriety checkpoint is provided through a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety.
The public is encouraged to call the Angels Camp Police Department at (209) 736-2567, the Calaveras County Sheriff's Office dispatch center at (209) 754-6500, or 911 if they observe impaired drivers on the roadways.
