Carson Detectives Conduct Domestic Violence Operation and Promote "NO MORE" Campaign

On Wednesday, February 10, 2016, deputies from the Carson Sheriff’s Station drove to numerous locations in Carson (and neighboring cities) in search for persons with arrest warrants for domestic violence.

The number of domestic violence (with injuries) related incidents reported within the jurisdiction of Carson Station has significantly increased in the past year.

Due to the significant 63% increase in domestic violence incidents reported within Carson Station’s jurisdiction, detectives from Carson Sheriff’s Station conducted an operation which was focused on arresting persons with outstanding arrest warrants for domestic violence related incidents.  Personnel from Carson Sheriff’s Station went to 45 different locations and attempted to arrest the suspects named on the warrants.

The operation concluded with 5 arrests.

This exercise of due diligence should serve as a message to domestic violence offenders that their actions will have consequences.

Personnel from Carson Sheriff’s Station have also used the “No More” campaign template, and created an Anti-Domestic Violence public service announcement.

Please do not allow domestic violence to go unreported.  If you see something, say something.  Dial 9-1-1 if you are involved or witness domestic violence.

Together, we can end domestic violence.

Following in the light of the campaign “NO MORE” from the Joyful Heart Foundation, Carson Sheriff’s Station has produced a public service announcement demonstrating our continuing goal to end domestic violence and sexual assault. The “NO MORE” campaign strives to end domestic violence and sexual assault by addressing the silence and inaction of thousands of Americans who are victims of these horrible crimes.

The Joyful Heart Foundation shows how to get involved:

Take Action: How You Can Get Involved

SAY IT.

Learn about these issues and talk openly about them. Break the silence. Speak out. Seek help when you see this problem or harassment of any kind in your family, your community, your workplace or school. Upload your photo to the NO MORE gallery and tell us why you say NO MORE.

SHARE IT.

Help raise awareness about domestic violence and sexual assault by sharing NO MORE. Share the PSAs. Download the Tools to Say NO MORE and share NO MORE with everyone you know. Facebook it. Tweet it. Instagram it. Pin it.

SHOW IT.

Show NO MORE by wearing your NO MORE gear every day, supporting partner groups working to end domestic violence and sexual assault and volunteering in your community.
