On 1/31/2016 at approximately 9:22 pm officers responded to a radio call of a disturbance inside the Ross department store located 628 Palomar St.

When officers arrived they found one male victim with multiple stab wounds to his chest and face. The victim was transported to UCSD with serious but not life-threatening injuries. The crime scene was located inside the store.

Per witnesses the male suspect entered the store and began stabbing the victim, who was an employee of the store. It appears the victim was targeted but at this time the reason for the attack is unknown. The suspect has not been formally identified. COV is actively working the case.
