The grandmother of an 8-year-old girl contacted the Santa Clarita Sheriff's Station late Friday night, January 29, 2016, to report that her granddaughter had been returned to her by the girl's biological mother. The little girl, still dressed in the same pink pajamas and brown boots that she had on the night she went missing, appeared to be in good condition.  

On Thursday, January 28, 2016, around 9:50 p.m., the 8-year-old girl, with brown hair and brown eyes, was a victim of a parental abduction. She was taken from her legal guardian's (grandmother's) residence in Canyon Country by her biological mother, Marian Demus. Her mother Marian, age 35, has a history of drug use and left with the child in a black BMW to an unknown location.
