Recovered Stolen vehicles

On 28 January 2016 at approximately 1730 hours Master Corporal Steven Parrott was flagged down  by a concerned citizen in the area of 6th and Greenhill Avenue in reference to two vehicles racing through the neighborhood. Master Corporal Parrott conducted an area search and located two vehicles, one a 2014 black in color Ford Explorer, and the other a 2009 red in color Ford Fusion at 6th and Cleveland Avenue.  Recognizing that the vehicles described were possibly stolen vehicles that were broadcast throughout the day, Master Corporal Parrott  positioned his fully marked police vehicle along side the vehicles. Upon his approach numerous juveniles exited the vehicle and ran in separate directions. Assisting units responded into the area,however the juveniles were unable to be located. The black  2014 Ford Explorer was confirmed to be Senator Coons vehicle. The Ford Fusion was confirmed to be a stolen vehicle from within Wilmington Police jurisdiction. Both vehicles were returned to their  owners with no property damage.
