HCSO: West District Deputy Arrests Two In Theft Ring.
(Harris County, TX)- A Harris County Sheriff’s Office west district Patrol deputy is credited for arresting and charging two men for a series of thefts from local Target stores in northwest Harris County.
HCSO Deputy R. Reyes received a call for service from the Target store located at 21515 Tomball Parkway on Friday, January 22, 2016 at around 3:30 p.m. The loss prevention officer had observed two men now identified as Orion Lee Rasberry (DOB 02/20/92) and Patrick William Terry (DOB 08/18/84), loading a shopping cart with expensive vacuum cleaners and Bose stereo speakers.
The suspects placed the cart next to a fire exit door in the back of the business. The males then exited the store, and one male returned and pushed the cart out the door while his accomplice loaded the items into a waiting vehicle.
Suspects Rasberry and Terry, were in the act of loading the vacuum cleaners, when Deputy Reyes encountered both subjects and ordered them to surrender without incident.
Store officials have stated the men are responsible for several similar thefts in the area.
Harris county District Attorney‘s Office accepted the charge of Felony theft on Orion Rasberry, and Class A theft on Patrick Terry.
The Harris County Sheriff’s Office Burglary and Theft investigators are currently in the progress of linking the previous thefts to the suspects with more charges to follow.
Due to Deputy R. Reyes’s quick actions, these two defendants were captured and the merchandise was recovered and returned.
