The National Weather Service has issued a Blizzard Warning starting at 4 a.m. Saturday morning and extending to 12 noon Sunday.

Heavy snow is expected with strong and potentially dangerous winds. At the present time, predicted accumulations are 7 to 12 inches of snow.

Residents with normal Saturday garbage pick-up can put their trash out this evening. The Township's contractor will be picking up refuse starting at 11:00 this evening prior to the snow event.

In order to allow the Department of Public Works access to clear the streets properly, please remove all parked cars from the street by late this evening.

Overnight night parking on the street will not be granted under any circumstance.

If you do not have a place to park your car, check with a neighbor for assistance. If necessary, you may use the rear portion of the Municipal Lot.

For reasons of safety, we are urging people to stay off the roads during the storm. Please avoid unnecessary travel.

In regard to snow removal, Township Ordinance requires that sidewalks be cleared within 24 hours after the snow stops.

Please be aware that Township Ordinance prohibits the the throwing or blowing of snow into the street.

If you have a fire hydrant on your property, please remove the snow from the hydrant to allow the fire department access in an emergency.
