NEW CHANGES TO DROP OFF PROCEDURES! Please read!

Student safety is of the utmost importance to the Florence Township School District. We have worked closely with law enforcement and school personnel to implement a new traffic pattern for our morning drop-off starting Tuesday, January 19th DURING MORNING DROPOFF!

Students in grades 4 & 5 ONLY will continue to be dropped off on Pine Street.

Students in grade 4 & 5 will enter the Riverfront building (in the same door as always) and walk up the 4th grade hallway to the auditorium.

New Drop Off Pattern
Students in grades 6, 7, & 8 are to be dropped off in the staff parking lot off of Cedar Street.
Students will enter Riverfront through the APR door. Students in grade 6 will continue through the building to the auditorium. Students in grade 7 & 8 will be seated in the APR.

Drop-off procedures Cedar Street
- If you are dropping your child off in the morning, all vehicles are to turn into our staff parking lot (at the entrance closest to the Board of Education Office). No student should exit a vehicle on Cedar Street.
- As you pull into the parking lot, keep right to the side entrance.
- Students should exit the passenger side of the vehicle and walk on the sidewalk to the APR entrance.
- Parents are to follow the flow of traffic to exit the parking lot on Cedar Street.
Reminders
We are continuing to monitor the drop off procedures. Please remember a few key points to help with our morning routine:
- Students should not arrive to school earlier than 7:43 a.m.
- Parents are asked not to leave their cars during the curbside process. If you must park to enter the building please park your car in a non-drop off area. Parking in a drop off lane truly impedes the flow of traffic.
- Please remind your student to be ready to exit upon dropoff. Your child may only exit on the passenger side of your vehicle as this will assist in both the amount of time needed for the process as well as the safety of the children.
- As soon as your child(ren) is(are) safely out of your vehicle, please move forward with the flow of traffic. DO NOT PASS OTHER VEHICLES THAT ARE CURRENTLY IN THE FLOW OF TRAFFIC.

Bus drop off and afternoon dismissal/pickup will all remain the same!
