Bank Robbery: Brookline Bank, 1160 Walnut St. Newton Highlands.

At approximately 1:35 pm on Tuesday January 12, 2016, the Brookline Bank, located at 1160 Walnut St. Newton Highlands was robbed. According to witnesses, the suspect entered the bank and passed a note demanding money. Although the suspect indicated he had a weapon, none was shown.
After obtaining an undetermined amount of cash, the suspect fled the bank in an unknown direction. The suspect is described as being either a light skinned black male or of middle eastern decent, mustached, 6' 1” tall, slim build, wearing sunglasses, winter jacket, winter blue hat, blue jeans and light colored gloves.
We are pleased to report that during this incident, no one was injured.
The incident is currently being investigated by the Newton Police Department Detective Bureau and the FBI Bank Robbery Task Force.
